Dr Nick Coates, Research Director at Promise
Dr Nick Coates is Research Director at Promise, a co-creation consultancy. In 2009 he co-produced the LSE / Promise report Co-creation: new pathways to value. Recently he has been co-creating iPhone Apps, a new Virgin business, a luxury travel club, and the cruise ship of the future. He has chaired sessions on co-creation at Research 2009 and 2010 and co-authored two conference papers on online communities. Nick Coates has a PhD in francophone Caribbean literature and thought. He’s also a published translator.
Keynote: Past, present and future: where next for co-creation?
Co-creation as a discipline stands at a crossroads. The birth of co-creation - symbolized in the mushrooming of publications, conferences, agencies, and now the Co-Creation Association - is also somehow the end of its coming together. This talk will look at some of the origins of co-creation, the current landscape and some thoughts on future directions and future challenges. On the way we’ll touch on the experience economy, yoghurt, open innovation, psychology, chess, mass customization, technology and bee-keeping.


René Jansen, Founder of Winkwaves
René is a passionate speaker about the developments in the field of social networking, knowledge sharing and enterprise 2.0. In his speaches, he combines business experience as CEO of Winkwaves, concept agency for social networking and knowledge sharing in the business environment, and his academic experience as Primavera research fellow at the University of Amsterdam and visiting professor at University Malaya in Kuala Lumpur. With full dedication he speaks about the new way of working, organizing and serving customers.
René is often invited as guest speaker at conferences and as inspirator at management sessions, in which he has the ambition to stimulate inspiring discussions, so that at the end of the day, everyone is going home with new ideas and realistic plans.
